DENVER (KDVR) – On Sunday, Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock posted a video addressing city residents about the house through December 7th at 10am public order.

COVID-19 cases continue to rise rapidly across the state, but the city of Denver has been exceptionally high for the past few days, averaging 500 plus new cases per day.

Order "Home by 10" for Denver; new rules for non-essential companies

Hospitals are grappling with the impact of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. A doctor tells Denver residents to squat.

"It never really went away, but an increase definitely happens," said Dr. Connie Savor Price, Chief Medical Officer and Infectious Disease Specialist, Denver Health. "A curfew should help reduce this transmission in the community."

Denver hospitals are grappling with spikes in COVID-19 cases

Governor Jared Polis and other agencies are encouraging companies to find a way to allow their employees to work from home as far as possible.

"With Thanksgiving around the corner, it's more important than ever. I join Governor Polis and urge Coloradans to work from home whenever possible, especially as we near the heart of the holiday season," said Hancock.
